Where to Apply For Real Sassa Jobs

The South African government employs thousands of workers. However, it’s important to note that job advertisements for government posts are available on specific platforms.

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has warned members of the public against applying for Sassa jobs that are being advertised on social media. This comes after a recent social media post claimed that the agency has more than 100,000 vacancies.

Sassa explained that vacancies at the agency will be advertised in national newspapers or on Sassa’s official website. They will not advertise job positions on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.

The social media post in question claims that Sassa requires 160,000 workers and calls on members of the public to apply for these jobs. The job advertisement further provides requirements, qualifying criteria and the benefits of the programme.

The post also contains a link where job seekers can begin their applications. Sassa has warned that this job advertisement is fake and warned members of the public against applying.

Official government vacancies are advertised on their respective national government department websites and the Public Service Vacancy Circular.

Government job vacancies are also advised in the Vuk’uzenzele newspaper. To apply for a government job, you will be required to complete and submit a Z83 form.
