Students At These TVET Colleges Can Get Funded By NSFAS

Students At These TVET Colleges Can Get Funded By NSFAS | Any student can apply for a NSFAS bursary so long as they plan on registering at, or are already studying at one of the public TVET colleges, as well as can adequately prove their own financial need. However, it is important that students are aware of which TVET colleges are supported by NSFAS before submitting their application.

NSFAS provides funding to vulnerable students who cannot afford to pay their own fees and have an annual household income of less than R350 000. NSFAS funding extends further than just paying your tuition fees and also covers books, accommodation, transport, and includes other benefits as well.

The funding scheme collaborates with a lot of universities and colleges in order to aid students in funding their tertiary studies. It is just as essential that a prospective student does their research to find out if the TVET college that they want to attend is one of those that are are funded by NSFAS, as it is to do the same with universities.

Students will need to apply to, or be studying at a TVET College to qualify for the financial assistance that NSFAS provides. It should also be noted that study pursuits at private institutions will not be assisted by NSFAS.
